Immediate Release: Tuesday 24 November 2009

Elizabeth Finn Care is holding a private launch for its book 'Tea & Teardrops – How we survived the bad times', featuring 27 autobiographies from celebrities accounting difficult times they have experienced in their lives and how they got through them.

The book features stories from household names such as Lynda Bellingham, Lionel Blair, Roy Hudd, Rebecca Adlington, Perry Fenwick, Simon Weston, Kate Adie and Rakie Ayola.
In addition, the book includes two stories from people that the charity has helped in the past and continues to support today.

Actress Rakie Ayola, said: "I am so pleased to be supporting Elizabeth Finn Care on the launch of Tea & Teardrops. All the contributors have opened up their hearts to share some wonderful – and at times emotional - stories and I have no doubt it will be enjoyed by everyone who reads it."

Elizabeth Finn Care, which helps people in financial difficulty, was founded in 1897 by a lady called Elizabeth Finn, who launched the charity over a tea party with family and friends.

The book is being published by Shoehorn Media and is available in hardback from Amazon and all good book stores from Thursday 10th December. Tea & Teardrops is priced at £18, with royalties going direct to Elizabeth Finn Care – the funds will be used to continue helping people in financial difficulty.

Kellie Smith, Senior Press Officer for Elizabeth Finn Care, said: "The charity is extremely proud to be sharing the stories of these popular names with the public. With a mixture of heartfelt experiences to more light-hearted reads, I am sure everyone out there will find a story they can relate to."
